The show hasn't been officially cancelled. Before today, they shut down production for the last 8 episodes for this season. Today, they fired Sheen and said they are unsure if the show will go on. Knowing Hollywood, they'll go on with a replacement. Oddly, Sheen replaced Michael J. Fox on his show when Fox quit and it went on for another 2 or 3 seasons.They can hire Ted McGinley.

While I realize that this is the wrong place for it, that iMac I just bought is awesome although I was returning it either way for a larger hard drive so the update is best now.
Direct from DVD, it took Handbrake about 20 minutes to convert a movie to iTunes format. So sweet. And that's the lowest end 21 incher.
My Sony laptop does that in 10 minutes #justsaying

That low price sells?
According to your past posts, selling phones at a low price ($49 in this case) is a sign of desperation, of an attempt to flood the market.
Heck, that's far cheaper than BOGO sales for other handsets where two people have sign long contracts.
Or, could it just possibly be that people aren't always swayed just by price? That the device itself could be a major factor?
Are there any carriers not giving away at least one free Android phone...

I honestly think "0.37 inch" is probably accurate enough for both white and black, as they are probably both within 0.365-0.375 inches. 0.01 inches = 0.25 mm, which is more like what it looks like the difference is in the pic to me...

Does anyone know if the home sharing play count bug has been fixed? I'd upgrade if it has but if it hasn't I'll stick with my 4.3.1 jailbreak.
For those who don't know what I'm talking about there was a bug where home sharing to device was not updating song play counts in iTunes like it's suppose to.

There is no way that Apple's model can compete on absolute sales to the multi-device approach of their competition. But that's only a tiny part of the picture.
Why not?
What's more they are likely to hold on to the upper end of the demographic, just as they do in personal computers. Their customers will be high earners who will buy music and apps and other content. They'll be invested in the ecosystem in a way which Android users will not be.
I'm really skeptical of this point - I'm not really sure that Apple has the upper end of the demographic now when it comes to phones. Everyone who buys a smartphone is paying ~$2,000 over the life of their contract for service, and the phones are roughly comparable in price to each other, particularly when you factor in the total cost of ownership. Meanwhile, the vast majority of apps cost less than $5, with most being 99c. (I would also suspect that people in their 20's making less than $30,000 per year would buy more apps than lawyers in their 50's making $300,000 per year.)

Ok, so maybe now we know how they fixed the bleeding problem with the light, make it thicker added more layers to to make sure they don't have the light problem.
Either way you either like it or not, I will stick with black :)

From what I understand:
- transgendered guy walks into the women's restroom at a ghetto McD
- a couple of women in the restroom see him peeing while standing up and/or his penis
- they feel threatened and freak out
- beating ensues
I don't want to blame the victim nor do I think the beating was in any way justified, but if I were a transgendered guy, I would not be going to the women's room in the ghetto when there are hood rats around.

gee wiz apple... 1 whole year? frick, and i just bought the logitech wireless desktop...
I have a Logitech Wireless MX 1000, and I love it, and wouldn't trade it for the world, and especially wouldn't trade it for a wireless Mighty Mouse.
A USB Mighty Mouse came with my G5, and I just stick it in my laptop case so I can have a backup mouse so i don't have to use the trackpad when I travel. I figure that's about all its good for when you have a really high-quality mouse like the MX 1000 laying around :-)

I needed a portable computer to supplement my desktop, for when I travel (which is infrequent). This is why I opted for a netbook, I needed the ability to connect to my companies network and access programs/computers/servers (something an iPad cannot do) and also hold my photos when I do travel.
The used mini fit that bill, its a hackintosh, so I still get to use OSX, its cheap, small and functional.
Nice, can't be the size and weight for travel.
Did you sell your 15" MBP, I recall you can the AG screen, then glossy but didn't like it so much.

Last year most of the people here were whining �oh the mac is dead. apple concentrated only on iOS and iPhone. What a same, we wanna hear about the mac�. This year, rumor has it, will be all about software so now the same people whine �oh no, no iPhone i hate this years event�.

If you want functionality, then go use Windows. Most Mac users are designers and the look of something is just as important as functionality. Steve Jobs may love the look of his day planner, that doesn't mean I have to be stuck with it.

I hope to GOD this doesn't actually make it to the final product. This is so unbelievably ugly I can't even take it. One of the reasons I love OS X is because of how cohesive it is. Most of the apps follow the interface guidelines which makes it feel unified and not the cobbled together mess that is Windows. To me, this just looks cheesy. It works for iOS but not for the Mac imo.

Well, I'll hop on the bandwagon. My measly old MBP should be able to cope with it. I'll get my PS3 onto the game as well, just to see how much I can get out of it.
