Hello,
I have a h1b visa that will expire in March 2010. This visa has been already renewed for its second time so, as you know, I wont be able to renew it once again.
Currently I am applying for permanent residency ( EB3 category) and I am in the AOS phase. I have the possibility of renewing EAD's every year, but I need to understand what is going to happen when the H1b expires. Can I renew EAD's even after the visa is no longer valid? How does it work?

I have a quick question. My I140 got approved in sep'08. Should I have to wait till PD gets current or I can file for I485 and USCIS will process my application according to my PD?
Any responce will be highly appreciated.

Can i cancel appoinment one day before.
I saw in www.vfs-usa.co.in website ,have to cancel before two working days of appointment day.
If i cancel appointmentafter few days will i have to fill again DS156,157 forms for appointment.
In website they said cant cancel appointment 2 times.After 2 times cancelation have to wait 90 days with that hdfc barcode.
Before 90 days period can we fix new appoinment by paying agian into HDFC bank.Is this possible new appointment with new barcode.

Last year I signed affidavit of support forms for my parents and they are already got their immigrant visa. One of my friends needs my help to sign affidavit of support for his brother. My question is how many affidavit of supports one can sign for different people? What are my liabilities if his brother later do some thing wrong in USA?

I would be more concerned about the medical issues his brother may have (accident, urgent care....) and if you will be held responsible for payments?
Besides, why can't your friend sign teh affidavit of support for his brother?

Hi
I filed my 485 on June 4th 2007 with NSC. It was transferred to TSC and received my Receipt notice. Now I am going to file my AP.
My question is where should I file my AP?. Do I need to file with NSC or TSC?.

My Husband's I 140 got approved and his lawyer included my name as well in the I 140 application.
Can some one plss help me by letting me know if I can change to F1 for my further studies inspite of my name being included in the I 140 application
Plss let me know at the earliest possible as I need to apply for change of status before may....!!!!!

I sent my application to vermont based on the USCIS answering system on June 30th that folks with approved I-140s should send 485 applications to the center where it was approved. Any ideas, if there is a problem with that and if the app gets transferred how much time it will take.

Hello All;
I would like to share our expereience during finger printing apointment at said center. We arrived an hour and half earlier, so asked the security guard if that was OK. She told us it's fine and we should go to lady officer at next door to take application forms. We took for each one of us, filled them while watching "Baby's day out" movie being shown. Returned the applications and were asked to go to assigned waiting seats. Here we were further escorted by an officer to finger printing machine. Did finger printing and had the notice form stamped, and were out of center in less than 30 minutes. No problems, no delays nothing to worry at all. So go and have fun!:D
P.S : Don't drop off your wife at center ... wait for few minutes. Otherwise she would be begging for phone to call you ( as they won't allow her to keep phone). I helped out one such fine lady earlier today!

L1 & I94 valid till late 2011 with comp A
new H1 with comp B approved effective November valid for another 2-3 years
Can some one still continue working on L1 or one must have to surrender L1 and need to switch over to H1.
What is the valid time period he can continue on L1 with comp A.

My priority date will become current on June 1st 2011. I will add my wife to green card process on June 1st 2011 (she is in US in H-4 status now). My I-485 is with Texas processing Center.
If I leave my sponsoring (green card) employer after 3-4 months of getting my green card and join another employer or have my own company, does it affect my wife's green card that may be still in process

My company is converting my L1B to a L1A.I wanted to know if i can apply for a green card independently after my L1A has bee approved or does my company needs to process that application.

All Employment Based green card has to be petitioned by the employer. So in your case, you would need to ask you employer to start the process. Only exception are people with "extrodinary ability" (the David Beckham's and Michael J Fox's) and people who fall under "National Interest Waiver" category (EB1 only - people who hold a Ph.D.).

Holding an I-20 doesnt mean anything if you dont enroll for the required minimum credit hrs...You have to enroll....
