Now I am Jealous......... you guys make it look easy, and I have no clue on how you get the color into the B&W like you do..........................
Simple technique:-
Add a duplicate layer
Desaturate the top layer, make it the shade you like etc etc
select the eraser tool
make sure it's flowing 100% and you're viewing the picture at 100%
erase the area you want coloured and the colour from the bottom layer will come through.
flatten
bingo!!!

You might have already done this but still thought of suggesting: most of universities in US have lots of foreign students in masters and bachelors programs and they have associations like Chinese students association, Indian students association. Can we send them info about IV; specifically explaining them how Greencard/H1B delays can cause issues with their career and explaining how IV is trying to get the SKIL bill passed. That bill is a lot advantageous for people getting degrees in USA and they should be excited to become members. Since these guys/gals are young and energetic their involvement would be really good for us. A group of people can volunteer and collect email addresses of these associations and we can send a general format letter to them. I volunteer to do some work in this effort. Let us know. Thanks.

You will get tax deduction for interest you paid to lender. no matter what deduction you get at end of the year you end of loosing 60-70% of interest which would be more than you pay for rent.

Explain your comments more clearly - do you mean EB1 unused is not getting used by EB2 India/China? If so, this is a matter of grave concern, and yes, we need to find out more information on this. We have to wait till DOS publishes Visa number usage this year. All EB1 and EB2 numbers should be used by over-subscribed countries in those categories and by no means by EB3.
Find out/research as much as you can on this - we need to understand what is going on.
I will in the next few days and will let everybody on the forum know. As I said my knowledge is based on the information from this form and from immigrationportal.com. I will read the section thoroughly, I think it is Sec 201 of INA and will also try to get the information from other sources.

Dear friends,
My h1 is valid till Dec 2009. H1 stamping is expired in passport in Oct 2007.
My AP is approved. I am planning to travel in Jan 2008. Can I us AP to reenter in Feb 2008 and continue working on H1 or do I have to use EAD to work?

I took some time to compile the list of INDIA only EB3 and EB2 categories for past 2 years and from the trend, it is very easy to predict the Oct bulletin.
It does not need a attorney or spies. You just need to work up the numbers.
I did this only for INDIA. Any chinese can complile it for China.

Begining of New year in Oct, they conservatively pull back the numbers so as to flush out pending apps.
Now since they have already flushed apps in June/July, in Nov they will move EB2 by six months and possibly either stop there or make it one full year by moving it by another six months.
For EB3, they like to get it stuck at mid year so Jun02.
Guys, give a thought to this trend and see if you can guess more accurately.

Guys,Please create an account in numbersusa, the nuse their fax page where you have to put in your login information to convey our message. You can use the first, last name and address to put in what we want. Like you could say, "this is a bunch of lies" for the first name, "H1 pay all taxes" for last name etc. Use thier own mechanism to defeat their purpose. Guys please do it. We can no longer remain quiet. Even if we have a favorable decision for us today we are still in the woods, anything can change in a few years.

Can you share your situation a little more (or I can give my email seperately). I was also wanting to know if you ae aware whether EAD can be applied from outside the US, just in case I had to do that...

here's my thoughts on this; If her h1 gets stamped she doesn't need AP. however if H1 gets rejected for some reason, in that case she can stay back in India until I recieve the AP documents. I send it to her then she can travel back on AP. ??
Any Suggestions or gyan on this !!!

May be converting back to H4 and attend for visa as dependent is an option. Ask your lawyer.

Unless you are sitting on a pile of cash, this is really a no brainer....
Like others have suggested :
(1) Give it to me, i will invest it for you..;-)
(2) Depends upon your familial situation and resources you have, both here and in your home country.
(3) If you plan to go back to India ( i am guessing yo are Indian..)
This really is a personal choice that you have to make, with your spouse. By posting such question on open public forums, you have just opened the floodgates to getting made fun of and ridiculed...believe me, it is very tempting...
