Hi
I transferred my H1 to new employer and need to go for visa stamping.
I have a couple of qustions.
1.I belong to south india and my regional consulate is chennai.Can I go for calcutta consulat as I heard chennai consulate has delays in vsa processing.In such case,can I have to show any emergency proof?
2.My salary is 30k more than whatever is mentioned in petition.will it be a problem?
3.I recently heard that consulate officer is asking for contact agreement between employer and client.But in my case I have some addition layer B in between my employer A and client.So how can I provide letter.Do I need to show 2 letters.From my employer A to layer B and layer B to client?
Please respond.

My AP was approved on 06/25/07 but there is an LUD on it on 08/12/07. Can somebody tell me what it can be? Thanks

thats means its not approved. u cant file for i140 without labor approval..hence cannot file 485 also.

after nearly 3 yrs.
Another friend of mine (same company) was in the same boat, but his processing was like 3 months ahead of mine(for all these steps). His Appeal was sent to BALCA and he is waiting for their response.

My lawyer selected option "a" in section 2 of I-485 for I-140/I-485 filed concurrently. Some members are saying that their lawyer selected option "h". Can some one tell me what must be the correct option for concurrent filing? If option h is correct, Is it possible to amend the existing petition?

Lots of activity to report. Congressional Hispanic Caucus leaders met this week with President Obama who said he wants a vote during the Lame Duck and would work the phones to round up votes. On 10/01/09, President Obama signed a continuing resolution to fund continued federal government operations through October 31, 2009. Included in the legislation were provisions to extend the E-Verify, Religious Worker, Conrad 30 and EB-5 programs.
The continuing resolution was attached to the FY10 Legislative Branch Appropriations bill (H.R. 2918), and was passed by the House of Representatives on 9/25/09 and the Senate on 9/30/09.
The E-Verify, Religious Worker, Conrad 30 and EB-5 programs have all been extended for an additional 30 days, though all they may be extended further in the coming weeks once the Senate and House conference the FY10 Homeland Security Appropriations bill (H.R. 2892).

Current EAD was supposed to expire in Feb so applied 100 days ahead for renewal. To my surprise application got approved in 10 days:D. Hope they've given for 2 years and starting from expiry date of current one....

Have we taken in to account these action items
1) Improve Overall GC Process time.
2) Re-use all unused visa's that went in vain in past
3) Count each family as one visa instead of each for each family member.
And What do we need to do as a member of IV to lobby these changes.

H1-B quota got filled up on May 26, 2006. You have to wait till April 1, 2007 to apply for H1-B, unless the company falls in the exempt category (non-profit, university...). If the SKIL bill is passed in the lame duck session it can change things as well.
